In memoriam: Marwan Faruq Sehwail died on September 13, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Raya, his parents and brother, and many close friends and family members. He was beloved by everyone that had the privilege of knowing him or working with him.

Marwan graduated from the Northwestern University School of Law in 2010. He joined the firm in 2015 and became a partner in 2023. His practice focused on construction disputes, breach of contract litigation, and appeals. Prior to joining the firm, Marwan worked at a large international law firm where he represented global banking institutions, private equity, and real estate professionals in commercial real estate transactions, litigation, and regulatory investigations. He also operated a law practice in Chicago, Sehwail & Sweis, where his victories included relieving a convict from a life sentence issued under a three-strikes law for a non-violent offense. He served as a mentor to the firm's junior associates and worked tirelessly to assist anyone who needed him.
